Abstract

Labiaplasty, hymenoplasty, and vaginoplasty are cosmetic and reconstructive gynecological procedures that have gained popularity in recent years due to evolving societal norms, increased awareness, and advancements in surgical techniques. These procedures are often sought for a combination of aesthetic, cultural, and functional reasons, making them a significant topic in modern cosmetic gynecology. Labiaplasty focuses on reshaping the labia minora or majora to address discomfort or improve appearance, while hymenoplasty involves the reconstruction of the hymen, often for cultural or personal reasons. Vaginoplasty aims to enhance vaginal tightness and address functional concerns, such as pelvic floor weakness. This article reviews the indications, surgical techniques, outcomes, and ethical considerations associated with these procedures. A thorough understanding of the patient’s needs, clear communication, and adherence to ethical guidelines are critical for successful outcomes. By analyzing current practices and emerging trends, this article provides a comprehensive overview for clinicians and researchers in the field of cosmetic gynecology.
