Epithelioid trophoblastic tumor (ETT) is a rare type of trophoblastic tumor, derived from chorionic type intermediate trophoblast cells and its clinical behavior is difficult to predict, which can cause difficulties in diagnosis and in treatment. The literature suggests that surgery should be the treatment of choice for ETT as it is not responsive to chemotherapy. We herein discuss a case of epithelioid trophoblastic tumor, which was initially diagnosed as a case of poorly differentiated endometrial carcinoma, but later on diagnosed as epithelioid gestational trophoblastic tumor.
